Is that a cardinal? My Dad's favourite bird was the cardinal. After he died, my mother would talk to the little cardinal who visited her balcony regularly, as if it were Dad. She found a lot of comfort in that, even though she had not the least bit of dementia.
awww! I am trying to get birds back into our yard this year but the dogs barking and the boys with target shooting seems to be keeping them at bay! I have a few blue jays that like to hang by the garage (not near the $26 feeder I bought ...lol) hopefully they will get used our yard sooner rather than later!
I think the movement of the kids, dogs and the sounds of the guns going off might deter them. But my bet is you will find a way to get them to that feeder. I have gotten one for Bill's birthday as a surprise. No dogs, no kids, no target practice, so I am hoping we have an easier draw.
