Today is one of those days when you just want to throw in the towel. You wake up and spill your coffee, the bathroom toilet overflows, your outfit for the day is missing. Where are your keys? You have had them. I am looking into finding a way to stay in touch without spedning my life sharing about living with brain injury. The doctor says I need another outlet. We have a new part time aide and she will hopefully help if we get her again, and more than one day. Looking at two part time days. That and Bill's other people. I don't lack for people contact. Just not the right kind.
I am going to put some study into a new camera with a photo lens and hope I can manage to learn to use it well. I want to listen to some soothing music, exercise, get healthier and thinner at the same time, and try to do to make my life happier and better. You can't take care of someone else if you can't take care of yourself.
I will keep you posted. Here is a song to soothe us all.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise. People do not think of Mandy as the consummate Broadway actor. His fight for his sight reminds me of Emily Dickinson's pain. We're lucky he came back from the edge.
ReplyDeleteEmily, this was filled at Dodger Stadium. I think that he is one of the most talented performers I have ever had the joy of listening to in concert, on Broadway and in movies.
ReplyDeleteDear Ginger,
ReplyDeletePlease, please take care of yourself. E-mail and chat about anything you like, anytime.
By the way, I'm amazed by the video. Isn't that the bloke from the first two seasons of 'Criminal Minds'??? (Mrs. Bear loves Criminal Minds). I happen to absolutely love 'Carousel' (you may be surprised to know...it has always been one of my parents' favourites, so I was introduced to it at a very young age). I'm shocked at how great his voice is. I never knew.
Singing Bear, the music man! I think you and I have a cosmic connection..
ReplyDeleteBut his voice is incredible and yes he was on the first two seasons of Criminal Minds. He was on a show called Chicago Hope as a doctor and he sang a song on there that blew everyone away. He was in Evita on Broadway, in the movie, Princess Bride, and his one man show is fantastic. I first saw him when I lived out west, then on Broadway. Wow! Because he was "home" he gave an extra long concert. Even Bill cried at one song. It was my birthday gift that year.
You will have to check him out. Not as many on You Tube as you would think.
Ginger, have you ever tried yoga? I'm doing it again now (after a long lapse) and am finding it to be exactly what I need. It helps you stay in the moment and let go of the needs of others for a while.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought.
I hope you get that new camera.
Andrea, I have gone back to Tai Chi for Arthritis. Just as mellow, great for muscles and sooo relaxing. Thanks for the yoga idea. I use to love it. I am OFF THE WALKER now....so that is great news, thanks to Tai Chi, Hot Tub, Walking, and friends like you. BTW...your book arrived just now...not opened yet! Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteOff the walker is FABULOUS news. I do really think that exercise will help you a lot, both physically and mentally. I always feel better after I go for long walk, but I should be running on the treadmill everyday too. Tell you what -- you make a change and I will too. How's that?
ReplyDeleteTess, on and off. Had some blood work today to try to find out why I am still having such a problem. Dr says its one of those 2 steps forward = 1 step back. That eauals 1 step forward, right? So I guess I am getting there.
